Is it the holidays yet?

Why can't the holidays start a day earlier? It sucks owning your own company some times. If I worked for someone else I'd call in sick today (like so many of my employees did) ::sigh:: but you know you've got to be there for your clients. Looking forward to eating more than I ought tomorrow. Remember though that the point is to give God thanks for all the great things He's done in your life. I'm glad I live in a country that thhought putting aside a day to give God thanks was worth doing.

God Bless you all.

Where will you be doing your holiday shopping?

BusinessWeek: That's Linux on the Line - From smartphones to servers, the open-source system is turning up in an ever-expanding variety of products. For consumers, that's good news... [Linux Today]

Too often I hear people say that Linux can't beat Microsoft. They either don't know or have forgotten that Linux has already won in the server market and will soon outstrip Microsoft in the embedded world. That of course will lead to more desktop users. Think about it.

ZDNet: In Wake of Solaris' Renaissance, Predictions of its Death were Obviously Premature - Raymond replied 'Who the hell cares about Solaris? On current trends, Linux is going to crush it like a grape within three years...' [Linux Today]

I don't see how this saves Sun. Okay so IBM has some blade customers who need Solaris so IBM is going to support them. I don't see how this generates more money for Sun or creates a bigger market for IBM. At best this simply means Sun will die a little slower.
